Rosemary’s last major series of paintings was the Saint Brendan Collection which was shown in December 2017 at the Cutter Gallery. In 1996, she completely lost vision in her right eye and in February 2018, two months after her show was over, she began losing sight in her left eye.
The changes in her vision was something she eventually considered a new, but good, challenge. Determined to remain creative, she searched within herself, in conversations with friends, and in the biographies of artists who also faced similar challenges in their own lives. In particular, she found inspiration and hope in the life story and art work of Nell Blaine who in spite of being visually impaired at birth was able to become a celebrated artist.
Currently, Rosemary is exploring a change in her personal style which will allow a more free and loose expression of her creative spirit.
